New Gestalt Voices
New Gestalt Voices are an international community and not-for-profit organisation committed to widening participation and exploring new ways of building community via application of gestalt (and aligned disciplines) across a number of domains - health services, education, therapy, organisational/ business, community, and government/political.
The New Gestalt Voices Journal which was launched in 2017 to challenge the narcissism of academic publishing, and offer an alternative model whereby the ‘field’ speaks through its less heard from voices. It started as a journal in the gestalt world, and part of what the site needed to do was showcase past and current editions of the journal and to be a platform for anyone who wants to take up the baton and do further social change work under the NGV banner.
John and Lena, the leaders of NGV, wanted the site to be bold with strong colours and where appropriate to have a sense of humour, so that it would stand out from it’s competitors and not be too serious or academic. I decided on a bold condensed font for the headings and rather than use a generic image I created an animated banner with their name that ran across the screen.
Glen Wilkins created a modern, contemporary logo that suggests the balance of yin and yang and thinking outside of the box.
