Akhanda - Holistic Therapist
Maya wanted a website that weaved together her Ayurvedic practices, her shamanic offerings and her holistic therapies. Maya poured her heart and soul into the process as soon as we began working together on the site, and this enabled us to birth it within 2 months!
Maya writes beautifully, and I’d often seen her posts on Facebook accompanied by gorgeous, ethereal-looking illustrations. Initially, she wanted to go with photographs for the website, but I felt strongly that we could make a much more unique-looking website that truly reflected Maya and her work if we used AI to generate the imagery. Luckily, Maya loved the idea and together we had a lot of fun creating the perfect images for her site. The result is a site that showcases all of Maya’s offerings together in a way that doesn’t minimise one or the other, but allows them to sit together in perfect harmony.
Maya had a clear idea of the elements she wanted in her logo – a golden Merkabah encircled by an Oroboros. The Merkabah represents the divine light or source of all creation, an individual's spirit or life force, and its physical body or manifestation in this material world, and the Oroboros symbolises the continuous cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, representing the cyclical nature of time and existence. A perfect summary of her work and the benefits it has for the client. My colleague Glen Willkins designed the logo for her and created an animated version for the navigation bar.
