Barefoot Life

From the minute I met Sophie, the owner of Barefoot Life I knew I was going to love creating a website for her. She’s an astrologer and the owner of clothing brands Barefoot Life and Tweedy Clothing, and describes herself as an all-round spiritual badass – my kind of person!

Sophie had a colour scheme in mind, which we altered a little to make it work harder, and an idea for a logo that we commissioned my go-to logo designer, Glen Wilkins, to refine and make more impactful. Sophie works with the moon a lot so it felt right to reflect that in the look and feel of the website, without being gimmicky. She also had a photographer on board and I was able to send through a brief for each image, which was a dream. I also designed and organised the printing of her business cards and gift vouchers.

When I met Sophie she had a small shop in Wimborne, called The Eleventh House, which she described as the home of all things hippy, alternative and bohemian. The name relates to the eleventh house in astrology, which is known as the house of friendships, hopes, and wishes and signifies the capacity for fulfilling our dreams. It represents the role of community, collaboration, and the support we receive from each other. She has since moved all her clothing online and renamed it Barefoot Life, and she has a stall that she takes to markets and festivals throughout the summer.

The Eleventh House also hosts workshops and events, some hosted by Sophie and others by visiting facilitators.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Caroline for your website design. From the first time we met to see if we were the right fit I felt under absolutely no pressure at all to go with her, she also seemed to get me and exactly what I wanted. Then, throughout the process we went at my pace and she had some wonderful ideas for the site that I hadn’t thought of and went above and beyond what is expected. I am over the moon with the finished product and I have had some great feedback from my clients that it looks awesome, really draws you in and is easy to navigate around. I will continue to use Caroline for help moving forward with the maintenance of the site, she is very talented, intuitive and professional.
